What is soundmondo

Hio all,

Soundmondo is a web site for sharing user created sounds from a range of Yamaha Keyboards  https://soundmondo.yamahasynth.com/

The sounds can be downloaded directly to your instrument in my case the Modxm.  I use it with the Chrome Browser and here is a video

When I had MODX+ I found Soundmondo very useful. It gets a lot of criticism online because there is time required to sift through all the patches/performances. There are a lot of repeat patches there where people post small revisions to their patch, and the tag search could be improved. I'm not sure Yamaha has bothered to improve anything there, probably costs them money to overhaul everything. However there are some gems there. Check out Peter Van Bruggen there for some interesting arranger-like performances if you are into that sort of thing.

Thanmks for the info, and totally aggree there is a lot to sort through but as you say there are some gems amongst them

How do you download and which strings are you talking about please

Hi Colin,

If your using google chrome as your browser it pretty straight forward
you need to register then login and you should the be conected

Click on the modxm icon and search for strings or whatever you want and if you find somegthing you want click on SYNC at the top and it will automatically
download them as a performance , IF you like them press store on the modxm and its yours ig not continue your search

remeber its all performances that people have created and not Yamaha produced so quality can vary a lot
