What keyboard model(s) do you have ?: Tyros 4
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Bio: I am a 'self taught' home organ and keyboard player. Many years ago I played piano in a couple of 'bands' (one a Scottish Country Dance Band). We all had the chords of the piece we were playing written out in front of us, and as a result I have never felt the need to 'read music'. People say I 'play by ear', but a better description would be that I 'play by chords'.

Hi SCK,
Welcome! I previously had a Yamaha AR80 organ, but have moved into a flat and there is no room for an organ here. I now play a Tyros 4. I decided from the very beginning that I would keep a record of everything I discovered about my Tyros 4 so I could refer to it when I forgot how to do things. Having been a Maths teacher I am used to explaining things to people, and have put many of my thoughts up into this Forum.
Chello has given me an 'area' to post my thoughts on things musical, which you can visit by clicking this LINK below.

PS. I am an 'ear' player, and most of what I say is what I have discovered by having a 'hands on' approach .. which may not always be the 'correct' way of doing things.
It's all about the music!
