GENOS VS PA5X..?!
I paid 38,300 NOK for Genos in January 2020.
I paid 48.300 NOK for Pa5X in August this year.
The web is full of people saying that Pa5X is way too expensive.
I can't help but question their ability to see real facts:
1: Pa5X's interface is groundbreakingly new and based on USB 3.0, and no other arrangers have this.
2: Pa5X has 3 connections for USB 3.0, and no other arrangers have this.
3: Pa5X has 32 bit resolution, and no other arrangers have this.
4: Pa5X has X-Fader with the possibility to play 2 styles at the same time, and no other arrangers have this.
5 Pa5X has X-Fader with the ability to play a style and a vocal track at the same time, and no other arrangers have this.
6: Pa5X has Matrix pads, and no other arrangers have this.
7: Pa5X has sliders and buttons that can be programmed completely freely, and no one else has this.
8: Pa5X has programmable LED lighting, and only the Medeli AKX10 has this.
9: Pa5X has well over 2000 sounds, and no other arrangers have this.
10: Pa5X has sounds from Kronos, Nautilus and SV-2, and no other arrangers have this.
Genos' design is derived from Kronos.
The only groundbreaking new thing about Genos is the Strip Display – everything else has been previously seen on other brands' models.
Styles from previous models give poor sound with Genos, while Pa5X provides superb sound with styles from all previous Pa models.
Genos is extremely poorly mixed with silly OTS choices and huge level differences between all sounds in these.
Pa5X is better mixed than any other, and gives the same result for all previous Pa models.
It is almost impossible to create styles from MIDI with good sound for Genos, while Pa5X offers better sound than any other with styles made from MIDI.
Navigating with Genos requires having to open and close multiple menus, while on Pa5X this is done with a tap on the screen's submenu.
Genos can't use sounds from Montage, because the hardware is inferior to Montage's.
Despite these facts, many people claim that Pa5X is too expensive, and sounds like Pa4X, plus they imagine themselves and others that Genos is better.
Have they never taken a hearing test?
Maybe they should, because there's obviously something seriously wrong with their hearing.
And ability to see what's right in front of their own noses.
