Drum Tracks - Am I missing something?

Do you find after you have eq’d a drums track in a style via the drum editor, that you still need to boost the low,mid or high gain in the Eq gain mixer / tuning screen ?

Or am a missing something.

Many times.
This is because the drum kit used is not always the most suitable.

I therefore test all drum kits before using the drum editor, because there is almost always one that is better suited.
Different drum kits also have different numbers of drum elements, which can make a big difference with the drum editor.
