Tyros4 Voice Editor
#1
I finally managed to the the Tyros4 voice editor to work. It’s seems like you can edit a lot more parameters than you can on the Keyboard itself. Looks like a full synth editor with filters etc.

Let’s see what we can do with it.

I have been having a play with the voice create on the Tyros4 trying the different parameters, some parts are similar to an analog synth.

I also had bit of a go trying to create the toto synth brass sound it is possible to use a filter envelope in the settings you can actually go quite deep into editing sounds.

It’s been bit of a case of trial and error at the moment seeing how the different parameters make a sound react.

I’m trying to work out how to create a swell effect with the filter, any ideas ?

Excellent project this.
I assume you have installed the editor on a PC with XP.
I have 3 PCs, but these use Win95, Win7 and Win11 / Win Server, so I have not been able to install it.

This program is a must for anyone who is lucky enough to have a Tyros4, because - as you show - it provides extended possibilities to change sounds on a par with a workstation synth.

I did not know that it was as advanced as your photos show.
Continue your good work with this project.

I’m using windows 10, once I installed the correct midi driver and worked out how to set it up correctly.

Yes it kind of opens a different dimension to the Tyros4.

Thanks for the follow up comment.
Choice of midi driver is always a key that is worth trying.
The ability to use this program with Win10 lifts Tyros4 to become a winner in the Tyros family.

Many voices, such as scat, el pianos and organs are particularly good on the Tyros4, and can not be found similarly on other models.

With this program, the success can be extended.

If anyone still has a Tyros4 here that dosnt have the disk with the software here is the voice editor.

.zip   Tyros4_VoiceEditor.zip (Size: 9.27 MB / Downloads: 56)

I might be wrong but I’m sure on the Tyros5 this can be performed with YEM

I forgot here is the user guide
