In the Pa700 you can adjust by octaves

But now in the Pa5x

You adjust by semitones + / -

Where on then Pa700 you have just the eq gain , now you have the finaliser as well which is like the limiter in the global setting.

Maybe my observations are wrong but when I found the finaliser in the Mixer section, the Eq and limiter her behaves more like the master Eq and limiter on the Korg Pa700

Correct.
This is something I particularly like about the Pa5X, because it makes it very easy to assign unique settings to each style.

I prefer to turn Limiter off on my own styles (converted/from midi), because this affects and controls all effects, and can often cause unwanted negative compressions.

Internal styles, however, generally work very well with Limiter, because all effects are generally correct and ideally composed.

Be aware that the level meter is not correct - it can show up to 8dB too little in the bass range, but always shows at least 2dB too little overall response.

Yes - Korg has really made it so that all settings can be saved individually, while others use more global ones, limiting saving to RGT/OTS.

Other manufacturers should look at the Pa5X and learn how to do this.

The possibilities are virtually endless, and even if some features don't work due to bugs, everything is designed to work and will in time.

You'll probably notice the differences between the Genos and the Pa5X pretty much immediately.

I think your brain will prefer the Pa5X.

I feel very privileged to have both, after the events of last week. The Paas speaker does sound very good.

Incidentally if I feed then line outs from the Genos to line of the Pa5x for the sound to come through the Paas, what level do you suggest using the master volume from the Genos.

⚖Robinez or ⚖Aripearlmusic probably have a good technical answer to this, but I would think that this should be lower than what is standard on Genos, which is possibly too high.

I usually solve such problems by doing an A/B test of styles/right sounds from both models alternately and adjusting until the level meter shows the same for both.
