DOUBLE TRACKED STYLES
This is an idea I got from using the same technique as sounds in the right section:
These consist of layers such as Upper 1, 2 and 3.
We can choose whether one, two or all should be active.
I do the same with the style itself - copy a track (e.g. guitar) to a track that has none.
I've made many styles with dual drum kits, but none like this.
Styles from midi are perfect, because these often only have 4 active tracks, and thus the rest can be used to create a kind of variation between Var 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Synthesizers like the Kronos use this a lot, but I've never seen it used on arrangers - strange, basically.
A very good example is if you have a funky style where you simultaneously want a deep sub-bass together with slap bass - copy the existing bass track, and paste into an empty track, and select sub-bass for this. Repeat this for the rest, but choose a different sound than the one you are copying.
By gradually activating the double tracks, you achieve an extra variation in the style.
By using this method, you can achieve sounds that are impossible to create with just one sound.
