Has anyone got any experience of Band in a box and real Band ? Ive come across this looks great but not sure you can use it to create styles etc ?

I tried Band in a Box a few years ago. The program is very complex and can be used for just about anything; also to create styles. I made several styles, but after some time I found out that they had a too simple and limited structure, and finished all projects. I mean to remember that there are clear limitations in the number of bars for Mains etc. There are quantities of available "semi-finished products" styles that can be further processed into a style. As mentioned - I found it too simple and limited.

Colin. Re BIAB, I had been using an early version for years. by entering a few chords BIAB will create a completely new song in seconds to save as a Midi File or Print for you to play back to, by selecting create again it will produce a new song every time from chords entered.
Select a style catagory and BIAB will select style parts from a in-built bank so styles vary. By selecting the SOLO feature it will improvise around a melody you have previously entered. I never got involved with creating BIAB styles. Lead sheet printouts are the best quality of any program...Overall an excellent program.

Thanks for your complimentary helpful comment.  BIAB can be used for many things, of which you also mention an example. It is one of the best on the market.

This is 2022 version with a lot of new features apparently can send you it if you want a look   I don't know what it's like to use BIAB for Korg, but can look at it. I'll probably never make styles for Yamaha anymore.
