As you will know on my Korg Pa700 I have been using my Dual Reverb Setup using Master Effects 1 and 2 and then any additional effects as insert effects.

The other day when I watched the previous Keyboard World Webinar when he was using the Genos 2 he explained that in the global effects Reverb And Chorus that it’s possible to use other effects in the Chorus section.

If you recall my previous posts when trying to replicate my dual reverb on the Tyros 4 I thought that the global reverb and chorus were fixed to reverb and chorus effects.
I was then assigning the second reverb to an insert effect.

Well this is not the case.

Just like the Korg Arrangers technically speaking the global chorus effect can can be assigned to any effect.
So in theory it’s like master effect a / b effect 1 and 2.

Yes the first global reverb effect is fixed but the global chorus is not.

This way my dual reverb can be assigned to the global effects and any additional effects to insert effects.

I also noticed this regarding the Chorus effect, which was shown on the previous Keyboard World Webinar - no one has made it so clear before.

The understanding of this is of crucial importance for the achieved result, just like the difference between global and insert effects.

Very few effects adders (regular users) seem to understand this, because it almost always sounds horrible.

Ive recently been using low value DELAY on right hand voices on the DGX with pleasing results.

I do the same.
The worst thing you can do is use high values, and my opinion is that even most professionally mixed styles have too high values.

Now it should also be noted that my room is very well acoustically damped, almost like a studio, but still the values are too high.

Precisely because the room is so well dampened, I can play very loudly with my horn speakers without the sound becoming negatively horn-like.

The fact that I use horns is probably part of the explanation for the fact that I am hypersensitive to reverb, because the horns have a natural ambience, which ordinary speakers do not have.
