AN EXAMPLE OF COPYRIGHT..?

Just now I tried to convert a midi with Style Creator Bot.
This took an unusually long time - almost 2 minutes.

Finally the keyboard turned off and restarted.

This is what can sometimes happen when you (unknowingly) try to convert a midi with hidden copyright.

Damn annoying practice Korg is showing here - why in heaven's name can't they simply deny access and state that the file is copy protected..?!!

The midifile is very big 236Kb ! and is 546 ! Measures long which is massive. It is not a surprise it cannot be converted.
I don't think the problem is Korg blocking the conversion due to copyrights but it seems more an unmanaged case/scenario of conversion linked to that. Korg should make an effort and encourage strongly to implement far better error handling and give their customers detailed and clear error messages when faced to an exception or error...

You are very likely right, even though I have managed to convert a file that is just as big.

But size can be so many; also resolution, which is never stated.
And how many tracks, which instruments and duration for each instrument are playing.

I took it for granted that the midi was copy protected due to the title and the performer.

I have converted many of this size with Style Works for Pa3X and used 2 intros, variations, fills/break and 2 endings as variations, with 32 bars in each.
This is impossible with Pa5X - even 16 bars in all parts is too much.

Korg should - in any case - put some work into implementing better error handling in SCB.
