A VERY UNUSUAL COPYRIGHT CASE

Today I experienced something I've never done before:

I'm creating styles from a midi series library with Style Creator Bot, and almost none of them have been blocked as copyright.

Then I had a case where SCB had made Intro 1 too short, and I wanted to create this with Style Works, which I do occasionally.

The big surprise was when NONE of the midi files showed up in Style Works - they can only be used with SCB..?

I've been working with midi files almost daily for 12 years, but I've never experienced this before.

First, change the file extension from .kar to .mid

I should have seen this...
The damn Win11 lives its own life, and automatically removes the display of the file extension all the time.
Of course; when I forced through normal view and saw .kar and changed to .mid, everything works normally again.

The file now displays normally in Style Works, and I can save it and open it with Pa5X, even though the filename has @ in front of the filename, indicating copyright.

Anyway - many thanks for your assistance in making me aware of this with .kar again.
