AI CANNOT ALWAYS BE RELIABLE - EITHER NOT THE HEALTH SYSTEM (NORWAY)
A few days ago I suddenly became seriously ill, and asked AI based on the symptoms what kind of illness this could be.
The symptoms were intense pain in the very top of the stomach, and pain in the ribs all the way around.
By presenting AI with the symptoms, I got an answer like this:
"Intense pain in the upper abdomen that radiates like a belt around the ribs, are symptoms that you should take seriously. This can be caused by acute inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallstones or stomach ulcers. In case of acute and severe pain, you should contact the emergency room or call 113. In order to get a reliable diagnosis and rule out serious conditions, you must see a doctor for a proper examination and blood tests."
I had an even more acute experience with the same symptoms 13 years ago, and was hospitalized for over 1 week, where they diagnosed gallstones, with subsequent severe inflammation of the gallbladder, liver and peritoneum.
After a long stay in bed and medication, the symptoms disappeared, and the hospital insisted on removing the gallbladder, but I ran away from the operation, and have never heard anything more, lol.
So the symptoms were the same this time, but there was a difference in the timing:
The first time I had the symptoms for weeks before I got help; the physiotherapist clearly stated what this was, wrote a letter insisting on immediate treatment, but my GP rejected this.
I changed GPs, only to experience the same thing - I was not heard, and the condition worsened until I was urgently hospitalized.
This time the symptoms came on suddenly and without warning, and within 1 hour I was so bad that I could hardly walk.
I intuitively knew that the condition was caused by something I had eaten that my stomach could not tolerate, because spicy food immediately worsened the condition.
I also knew the name of the condition: Gastritis.
I have had problems with too much stomach acid for years, and have (fortunately) had access to a special medicine for this; Pantoprazole Krka 20 mg.
I have taken this sporadically for too much acid, and have always become immediately acid-free, and have had very few cases of acid flare-ups, until this sudden incident - never use anything else but this..!
When I tried to tell AI that I had this condition, it opposed me with all possible warnings of doomsday, and insisted that I HAD to talk to a doctor about it and have the necessary tests taken.
Hell no - I have always managed to make the correct diagnosis myself, and have never been wrong.
I only need a doctor to get medication for the condition, nothing else..!
I am familiar with the physical examination of the condition, which I learned from a physiotherapist:
Put stiff fingers under the ribs in the chest - it should not be painful, and if there is pain on the left side, the liver is inflamed, if there is pain on the right side, the gallbladder is inflamed, and if there is pain in the middle, the peritoneum/stomach is inflamed.
In my case, there was only pain in the middle; that is, gastritis.
Convinced that I was right, I overrode both the AI and my loved ones, who wanted me to be hospitalized.
I took 1 tablet of Pantoprazole late one evening, and within a few hours the symptoms were greatly reduced, and 3 days of treatment made me 100% symptom-free and healthy.
So my experience with AI in health matters is that this maximizes the problem and tries to get you hospitalized, while the GP downplays it by prescribing a medication that probably does not work, without examining you properly.
The only professional group that is competent in physical examinations are physiotherapists, but they are being overtaken by GPs.
Learn how your body works by studying physiotherapy, and trust yourself - not GPs, who are almost all pretentious and ignorant quacks who only think about making money by prescribing medications that don't work or, in the worst case, kill you.
