DAILY UPDATE

I have now found substitute sounds for everyone I consider necessary to supplement, and some are in fact almost in Kronos quality.

I have tested thousands of TVN, UVN and UVD sounds, but most are lousy; SF2 is the winning format.

Now it is "only" to install the best of these on the A3000 - the problem is that there is only 509MB available, which is far too little.

Damn Yamaha, which has excluded professional users by not offering the option of more RAM, plus they have blocked all editing options for sounds on the expansion card.

To make everything really wrong, they have also omitted basic editing functions for internal sounds, which means that it is impossible to make usable sounds from these.

It would have been desirable to replace all the sounds for each style, but this becomes practically impossible due to too little RAM.

I therefore have to prioritize drums and basic sounds, which is a bit of a job, because each group of sounds must first be installed for testing, and then the best ones must be selected and others omitted.
A lot back and forth.

Finally I will make some demos with internal sounds used on a style versus external.

After all, the result exceeds all expectations - far better than what Genos with default settings can perform.  27 22

The problem with insufficient storage space - and even with the T5, the largest possible 2 GB card is quickly too small - can only be solved by hard disk streaming. Before this dream of the future comes true, I decided on the VARranger software, which does exactly that.
    Here is a small excerpt from my Ketron and Technics sounds:

@Matze

Yes, the problem of lack of RAM can be solved by using vArranger, but this is not relevant for me, since I use a DAC for all sound, and a dedicated sound card for vArranger in addition will crash with my existing setup totally.

In any case, I do not like having to use a PC at the same time - I scrapped a 1000 Euro seaboard for the same reason.

@ Chello

I agree with you, my friend, I have never been a friend of things that should be added to a keyboard, such as additional boxes (not least for reasons of space) and additional software that has to be operated. Everything as a whole has to work at all times. The demands on man and machine multiply and distract from the actual, soulful game. In addition, there is reading of sheets. You must be very healthy (LOL). A keyboard that fulfills the desired requirements would be easier for the user, but manufacturers are too shy to accept this type of opening.
