Some compositions needs within a 4/4 beat suddenly an 1 beat long 2/4 beat.

1.) The first solution I have seen at Genos 2 was, to interrupt the 4/4 by a foot pedal with the function Tab/Tempo
I don’t like this method very much, because then you have to operate three pedals (1. to operate the sequence, 2. to handle the interruption, 3. to handle the volume) with 2 feet.

2.) But now Alois Müller has found the best solution I have ever seen.

There you can program one intro (1 or 2 or 3) which you don’t need in a style with a one 2/4 beat.
You select the “Intro”, which you want to program, then press Menu2 => Style Creator.
In the “Basic” section you set “Pattern length” to “1” and set “Section Time Signature” to “2/4”. And accept it with “Execute” and “Yes”.

Now all tracks are deleted.
In the “Assembly” section you select from “Rhy1” to “Phrase 2” the variation (1-4) of the style you like (8 times).

When you have finished it, you can save the new style.
I name all the styles now name: ”Old Style Name”&_with” e.g. 8beat_with, then I know it’s a style with 2/4 beat.

Alois you are the best.

Best regards RonnyM
