I grew up in a family collective with my father's parents and his siblings as well as their children.

My father's father was an accordion player and guitarist.

My mother was a choir singer when I was growing up.

My father and his brothers were semi-professional musicians in the 50s and 60s, and had their own trio - Almes Trio, and each took turns playing accordion, bass and guitar.
They had various arrangements for 11 years.

My brother Johs Alme started playing accordion when he was 17-18, and bass soon after, which became his main instrument.
He started a local rock club, where anyone interested had a place to practice.
He also started his own group; The End.
He played with many famous local groups his whole life, and won a competition in the USA which led to a CD being released.

I've played piano a little since I was a kid; every summer we would visit my mother's sister who had a piano - both she and her children played.
I started playing accordion when I was 15, and am 100% self-taught.
I played for dances for many years from the age of 17-18, and have occasionally played with many of the most famous musicians in Norway.

In the 80s I was a bass vocalist for a period in a choir - we had many performances in churches, where I also had the opportunity to play the church organ a few times.
In the 90s I periodically practiced with a group from Chile when they were in Norway for concerts.
In 1998 I started playing keyboards, but have only had a few performances after this.]]> MY MUSICAL BACKGROUND

My father's father made a guitar, and my father also made one.
I thought I should be at least as good, and made a guitar plus a violin.

The violin was made in 1997, while I was studying carpentry.

The body is made from a roof beam, as is the scroll.
The tailpiece is made of Camphor wood, also the bridge and fingerboard.
The setting screws I have turned from Mahogany.
I also made measuring tools to measure the varying thickness of the top and bottom of the body.
All parts are tuned to C by tapping them along the way with the knuckles; wherever you tap, the resonance in C emerges.
The sound is unbelievably fantastic.
All parts are rubbed in with soil and coffee to make them look old and worn.

The guitar was made in the same period - I drew my brother's guitar and noted all the measurements.
The body is made from a cupboard door from a kitchen (!), while the tailpiece, fingerboard and scroll are made from Camphor wood.
The setting screws are cut out of Mahogany.
All parts are tuned to E.
The sound is also surprisingly good.

Here are a bunch of drawings I drew many years ago.
They are from a project I was working on, which was about how to draw.

In short, I advocated using the shortest possible time, in order to draw only what I saw, without starting to analyze the subject and what I was going to do - I drew without thinking, which is actually effective for success.

I have never been able to draw portraits, but with this method it somehow worked.

Unfortunately, the drawings are reduced in terms of quality, as I did not seal them immediately, which has meant that the graphite from different hardnesses has been given the wrong strength.

I started working as a confectioner's assistant as early as 13 years old, when I refused to only go to school; I wanted to go into working life.
I worked 3 days a week, and went to school 2 days through the 7th, 8th and 9th grades.
I could have become the country's youngest confectioner, but chose to try other professions.

Later I worked in industry and forwarding, until I started my own company at the age of 23.

At the age of 29, I started as a supervisor at a carpentry workshop, where I had 5 supervisors under me. At the same time I was a caretaker.

For 5 years I had "a period of rest", during which I studied all professions, science, philosophy, psychology, etc.

A few years later I started as an adviser to the country's immigrants, and at the same time started a newsletter for their main organisation.
I did all the work myself, and the newsletter was delivered to all related organizations and ministries in Scandinavia.

At the same time, I worked as a machine carpenter and machine mechanic, but ended my job as a consultant after 10 years, when there was too much traveling and meeting business.

For the last 5 years of my professional career, I worked as a CNC operator with special responsibility for calibrating measuring tools and training apprentices.]]> MY WORK BACKGROUND
