Although the pa5x has got a lot of things right , the amount of updates that should of been their for the launch is shocking

Exactly.
But I'm pretty sure they've felt pressured to launch earlier than was intended due to the ongoing unstable conditions in the world due to the "pandemic".
In other words, they have foreseen what problems would arise in its wake, which we also see daily clearly.
