It’s all in the Name ! - musicalmemoriesuk - 08-22-2022 Good Evening. I Know I’ve touched on this topic in the past but to me it’s a pretty important one. Naming Your Favourite Sounds Registrations / Keyboard Sets. As you build up you libraries of favourite sounds / sound combinations that can or could be used in multiple song. Ie you could end up with banks of string sounds registrations / keyboard sets that are different even slightly different. You could end up with lots of registrations / keyboard sets. It’s ok if you play your keyboards every as you can memorise them, but if leave you keyboard for a bit can come back to play it you will see lots of strings registrations but not knowing what each one sounds like. So how do we organise them ? Rather than name them strings you could add the name of a song that you would use ie Danny Boy Str . But then what happens if you use multiple sound in your registrations / keyboard sets? You could use a combination of upper case and lower case characters upper meaning the sounds are loud and lower soft. Eg BRASS / strings Don’t forget get you only have a limited number of characters to use in the names of the registrations / keyboard sets. I think it’s 16 Characters. Anyhow I will leave it here. It would be great to see you views and comments. |
