20 YEARS OLD NOISE PROBLEM SOLVED - Chello - 08-17-2022 20 YEARS OLD NOISE PROBLEM SOLVED For over 20 years I have been plagued with digital noise when I have used an arranger digitally. I have spent a lot of time familiarizing myself with all the theories and asking for help in many forums that have specialized in the subject, without finding a solution that removes the noise. I found the solution yesterday by thinking logically: Problem: If you DON'T use an Audio Interface, you have to use the keyboard's USB driver, and this produces digital noise - this solution mixes the analog and digital signal so that a digital noise loop occurs. If you are using an Audio Interface while using a USB connection from the keyboard to the PC, the same thing happens. Think logically: What does an Audio Interface do? It converts analog signals into digital signals, and you should not mix these up along the way. Solution: The correct way to make the connection is to connect the keyboard ANALOGOUSLY to the Audio Interface, and connect the Audio Interface DIGITALLY to the PC. Only that. When I disconnected the USB connection between Pa5X and the PC, the noise disappeared. Additionally, if you use balanced audio cables from the keyboard to the Audio Interface, the noise will be zero, while unbalanced ones may cause some noise. |
