SAME KEYBED MODEL IS NOT NECESSARILY IDENTICAL - Chello - 07-01-2026 SAME KEYBED MODEL IS NOT NECESSARILY IDENTICAL I think this is a fact that is often overlooked by users (and reviewers): Claiming that two keybeds with the exact same model name are identical can be very misleading and incorrect. There are many examples of this, with different brands and models using the same keybeds - but they still feel different. Why ? Manufacturers rarely if ever state design improvements made to the keybed for a specific arranger/synth. I know of one exception, however: Korg Kronos 1 and 2. The Kronos 2 uses the same keybed as the Kronos 1, but Korg has made design improvements to the hammer weight calibration for the Kronos 2, which makes the Kronos 2 feel better to play. |
