This is my latest way of mixing, and is designed to make all tracks more punchy and detailed, and to reduce reverb so that the amount corresponds to the amount of ambience found in the drum kit.
To achieve this I have done the following
* Adjusted EQ and Ambience with Drum Editor
* Used Stereo Parametric 4EQ on all active drum elements where possible
* Replaced original effects in FX1 (and FX2 when possible) with Stereo Parametric 4EQ in Master Effect, and adjusted all tracks via MFX Send
* Reduced the working range of the existing Reverb in FX3 (omitted bass) and adjusted the level of reverb via MFX Send so that this corresponds to the amount of ambience on the drum kit
