Fingers Shape...Playing Keys - Graham UK - 04-20-2026

Playing Keys....Finger Shapes.
Look at Mike Pakricks Finger Shapes.
Could be the reason my playing has not improved ?
Over the years my fingers have not been flexable enough !!!.

Graham,

Thanks for posting that! The sounds he gets out of his Montage 7 are just amazing! The perfect keyboard for playing 'solo' with others in a group. And he seems able to reach many more notes with his extra long fingers!

It is unusual that Mike Patrick does not use the little finger on his right hand - I have never seen anything like it before.

He also has unusually long fingers, which is probably why he does this, because he can reach as many keys with 4 fingers as I have to use 5 to manage.

I have always avoided using the thumb on my right hand whenever possible, which in theory is not an advantage, but I can actually do some runs better because the little finger is more suited to fast movements than the thumb.

By the way, the white Montage looks much nicer than all the black ones..!
Why does everyone have to make the black ones..?

My korg Pa800 was Blue...My Pa1000 was Burgandy

My DGX670 was not available in White at the time of ordering.
I said I would not order again in Black.

It's possible Mike Patrick fingers could be double jointed...Regardless he is a nice player.

He has unusually mobile outer finger joints and a strange finger position, but he plays very well, and that's what ultimately matters.
