the Last Staw - own composition - WilliamD - 03-17-2026

After owning the Modxm for about 8 weeks  I am finnaly geting my head around in enought to create a piece of music
which uses only the Modxm voices and the built in ARPS and recorded in the onboard recoder and all chained together
to create a complete performnace using the Chain function

Brian,

It's really nice to hear guitar work that has come over so clearly. You must have been really happy with that! It's always very satisfying when you get a recording to sound the way you want it to.

very nice!

the change of chord progression around 54 seconds was unexpected, but it works really well in that song, it's also the strongest part of your song in my opinion.

Some things I would do differently:
- use panning of the sounds a little bit more to get some more stereo effect in the sound pallet
- the organ could use a rythmic or melodic pattern to make that part more interesting.

thanks for sharing, I love to hear original songs.

Hi ,

I do agree with a lot you say and with the benefit of hind sight I would certainly do a few things differently, but this piece for me was more about actually learning how to do a complete performance on the ModxM and in that respect I achieved that , the piece was I suppose a by product of this exercise, I will certainly take your points onboard in any further projects.
