GRANDSTAGE X PICKED UP

I have now picked up my Grandstage X.

Fortunately, I managed to send a reply email to the shipping company where I corrected my phone number, so that I received a pickup code - otherwise it would have been sent to a number that is not in use, and I could have had problems with the delivery.

It was extremely difficult to handle, because the piano with the box weighs 34 kg, and it is unusually well insulated, so that the dimensions are much larger than they actually are.

It will be a big challenge to carry it up to the attic without hitting anything, but I will have to think of a maneuver.

Then we will see how good it is.  37 72

Congratulations Chello! You've bought an excellent instrument! All sound engines are very good!

COMPLETELY UNPACKED AND TEMPORARILY PLACED

This has to be the best packaging I've ever seen - the piano is so well protected it could have been sent to the moon and back and dropped on earth without any damage.

It's also the worst I've ever handled in terms of lifting and carrying; it's much harder to handle than the OASYS..!

The problem is that you can only grab it with one hand, and I had to carry it unpacked up to the attic - with one hand.
It felt easier to carry my horn speakers with one hand up 2 floors - and they weigh 50 kg each unassembled..!

I've just tested the keybed and sliders:
There is a significant noise from the keybed, which is unexpected; the Kronos was much quieter.
But it feels comfortable, and responds well to quick movements mechanically.

The sliders also seem a bit heavy to move; they could have been a bit lighter, but feels very precise.

The next step is to connect it.

This is probably true; they are some of the best on the market.

And - it is only when you have the sound engines that the samples become as they should; the Pa5X has many samples from the same sound engines, but lacks these, and then the sound does not become as it does with the Grandstage X.

The keybed is very good, but requires some adjustment; the default selection could probably be changed to something better.

The general layout is not as logical as one would think; I had to press a few buttons and move a few sliders before everything was the way I wanted.

But: Cheers, OASYS, Kronos & Nautilus !

This stage piano is really good !!!
