4SOUND - NORWAY'S BIGGEST AND WORST ?

I recently had a very negative experience buying a Yamaha MODX M8 from 4Sound Stavanger via their online store.
The product did not meet my expectations in any way, whereupon I exercised my right of withdrawal.
This turned out to be problematic, because 4Sound transferred the responsibility for refunds to Yamaha Germany.

Refunds are ALWAYS the responsibility of the individual store and no one else's.

In my ignorance, I was led to believe that this was Yamaha's responsibility, and I have spent a lot of time without getting a refund - it has been over 1 month since I notified them, and a refund should have been made within 14 days from that date.

What is the basis for 4Sound Stavanger's behavior can be wondered about, while 4Sound Central is almost even worse, as they insisted that the product was purchased in a physical store and thus not covered by the right to a refund..!


I have had repeated negative experiences with my local 4Sound in Haugesund in previous years, which resulted in me choosing the one in Stavanger instead.

Now it turns out that all 4Sound branches are equally bad, and I will never consider shopping at 4Sound again.

So Norway's largest music store is the worst in the industry, and I would strongly advise against anyone shopping at them.


Yamaha has forced through an arrangement with its dealers that they call "Agent sales".
This gives the dealer a commission on each sale, while the payment goes directly to Yamaha.

Yamaha thus appears to be the very cause, and circumvents the current legislation just as it suits them.
They will not have me as a customer again; neither 4Sound nor Yamaha.
