THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - Chello - 12-12-2025 THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M I bought a pack of arranger styles from Synthcloud/Synthonia, which I received today. They don't work quite as I expected: I have to play them as Scenes - Parts doesn't play, without me knowing why or if the parts can be activated in any way. I am not impressed, and would not recommend anyone to buy this package. MODX M's layout is still totally confusing. RE: THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - eax - 12-12-2025 Which pack did you get from them? RE: THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - eax - 12-12-2025 Thanks for the info. Some of them could be useable. Wonder if AI could assist in automating conversion from say Yamaha Styles to MODX Performances ?! I actually think that AI can be used to advantage for automatic conversion from SFF2 styles to MODX Performances. I know that a typical SFF2 style that is prepared for further processing to MODX has a very reduced size - typically 15kB. So a lot of data is removed, because it is not needed. AI should be able to do this, plus add the necessary new data for MODX. RE: THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - eax - 12-13-2025 I know that Paul J. Drongowski wrote an article a while ago 'Arpeggio to style conversion' : http://sandsoftwaresound.net/arpeggio-to-style-conversion/ where he discusses converting the opposite way and he contibuted here saying "Your question has been on my to-do list for some time" in 'How far can you make a MODX work like an arranger?' : https://forum.psrtutorial.com/index.php?topic=50193.0 Wonder if he would be interested in the subject of converting Yamhaha styles to MODX/Montage Performances with the help of Ai and/or software Do you know if he is a member here? Drongowski is not a member of our forum - but we would have liked to have had him here, because he has knowledge and skills like no other. I have used many of his fantastic styles that he has taken from the original Yamaha DJX-II patterns. I suspect he could have done a much better job than what I have seen done so far by others. RE: THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - mb_pa5x - 12-13-2025 Thinking about buying these 12 'performances arranger styles' for the MODX: https://meditasons.fr/styles-yamaha-modx Youtube clip on the page sounds good. Don't know what the quality is when playing the styles yourself. RE: THE FIRST ARRANGER STYLES TESTED WITH MODX M - whitecolin1 - 12-13-2025 Forgive my ignorance on this but arent styles made up of midi ? in a previous post by QUI he showed the korg pa5x structure and how you had to change the channels and markers and made a template. Could this not be done on the Modx ? |
