MODX M & MIDI 2.0 - Chello - 11-05-2025 MODX M & MIDI 2.0 I thought that the MODX M was prepared for MIDI 2.0 - but the fact is that several functions already work with this resolution. MIDI 2.0 delivers high resolution data for note velocity, Super Knob, pitch bend and modulation. I found that velocity had an unusually high resolution on some demos, and this is not so strange, when it relates to MIDI 2.0. So the MODX M and Montage M are the only models that I know of that actually take advantage of MIDI 2.0's extended parameters. Imagine a function that used to have 10 strength levels - this now gets up to 1000 (theoretically). This means that with MODX M and Montage M you can play instruments with a much higher degree of velocity than with any other synth/arranger, achieving a dynamics that no one else can. |
