Pa5X: Track volumes in Style Variations

Sometimes I have a hard time believing what I read:
https://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=130995

Korg Forums has this thread, where MikeMusik says that he was able to adjust the volume level on every track in every part with OS 1.2.1

With OS 1.3.1 this is not possible.

Then it turns out that those who absolutely should know better, claim that this has never been possible with any OS..?!
MikeMusik is right, while AntonySharmman and everyone else ARE WRONG !!!

I have done the same thing as MikeMusik a million times with OS 1.2.1, while OS 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 do not allow this.
I can go back to OS 1.2.1 at any time and make these edits to prove that MikeMusik and I are right.

I lose all respect for people who use their theoretical (in)competence to claim something that is completely wrong.

And I will never buy anything from WavesArt, when its developer has no idea what he is doing..!

Sorry but Anthony is right!!
You can set the Volume (MIDI CC#07) value for each one of the Style tracks, and
for the single Pad track. Please keep in mind that the Volume value is the same for
all the Style Elements of a Style. For individual adjustments for each of the Style
Elements, use Expression (MIDI CC#11) instead.

That is directly from the Pa5x manual

Thanks for your attempt at explanation.
What you, Antony and others say is correct for OS 1.3.0 and 1.3.1.

But OS 1.2.1 allows individual adjustments for each of the style elements.

I do this from REC/EDIT/MIXER/FX.
Give me some time, and I'll reset to OS 1.2.1 and save a style with individual adjustments for only Intro 1 showing volume 50 for only bass, drums and perc.

RE: Pa5X: Track volumes in Style Variations - Aripearlmusic - 04-17-2025

That is a bug in 1.2.1 because it is not a feature described in the manual

⚖Aripearlmusic

Here is my proof of my claim.
I have reduced the volume for Bass, Drums and Perc to 50 for only Intro 1 - all others have volume 110.

If this is a bug, then this must be the best bug Korg has ever made, and they are welcome to make more..!

NB:
I do this from REC/EDIT/MIXER/FX
Saved file is attached.

RE: Pa5X: Track volumes in Style Variations - Chello - 04-19-2025

This is not a bug in OS 1.2.1, but in OS 1.3

In the overview for New features of OS Version 1.3 page 39 it says:
To make rehearsing before recording easier, Style/Pad tracks have to be armed before recording.

The fact that Style/Pad tracks have been armed has guaranteed to result in errors in the script - the function does not work at all.

So when the bug in OS 1.3 is fixed, it will also be possible to make individual adjustments for each of the style elements' volume.

The contents of the manual are extremely incomplete and useless as an absolute reference.
