When Im not on my Arranger Keyboards - musicalmemoriesuk - 03-28-2025
When Im not on my Arranger Keyboards I tend to get my Geek hat on and enjoy working on computers or old retro consoles.
One such venture was with a Xbox 360 which I got given for my Grandchildren a while back, it has pretty much been sitting collecting dust that is until a week or so ago.
I also a few years ago got a PlayStation 3.
As with most technology there are some clever people that work in the background to break the protection on the operating system so that homebrew software can be used.
The PS3 has a pretty large homebrew community. If you don’t or didn’t know the ps3 is based round a Linux Operating System. Which has been very successfully modified by software.
On the other hand the Xbox 360 up until now could only be modified by hardware modifications.
That is until now someone created a software exploit which means there is an alternative, the only problem is it’s tethered which means every time you power off the Xbox 360 you have re run the modification software exploit.
Anyhow I managed to install this, and yesterday setup a local network work using an an Ethernet cable which allows content to be transferred.
Then arose a slight problem in that the connection kept disconnecting.
After some research another file needed to be installed onto the root of the console hard drive.
Now to test some games that I’ve transferred.

I gave up on games when I discovered cheats were available, I couldn't resist them but then they ruined the games for me!

Well the soft modding seems to work ok now I know how to setup some bots everything up.
Installing some games for the grandkids to play on. Ive found quite a good site for games without getting shut down by the copyright police.
