With the recent midi files kindly provided by Aprilla I’ve experimented with the style bot, with varying degrees of success. Whilst all parts may not be of use there are some tracks that could be used in creating another style.

Then comes the hard work finding other tracks that will go with the parts from the midi files and building the variations.

I’ve been doing quite a lot of auditioning and some tracks that could be useful.

Many thanks for your input on an alternative way to create styles with Style Bot.

I have used this method with Style Works, and had actually overlooked the possibility of doing the same with Style Bot.

It will therefore be doubly fun when this is made available for the Pa5X, because I can convert everything I find, extract parts that work as I want and create styles exactly the way I want with just a few keystrokes.

The real work consists of listening through everything and finding parts that fit together, but here the Pa5X is also brilliant with its two-player system, which makes it possible to play two styles at the same time for direct comparison.

I really like tracks that have good guitar / strum patterns im not necessarily bothered about what song they come from but what style the could be used with.

Im currently working through the Midi Art Studio. What might be an idea here is not just to share midi files but style tracks created from them.

So having auditioned the midi to style, style now the process of creating styles from the parts.
