I TREAT PEOPLE RESPECTFULLY, BUT THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS
Ever since I started my "career" in keyboard forums as a Global Moderator in 2013, I have been harassed by another Global Moderator named Eileen because I posted files that were copyrighted.
I posted all sorts of packages for all the Yamaha models I had, but she posted the following opinion publicly:
"I think this member will cause trouble with this attitude. Copy write should always be a No No on forums. It is totally wrong. Eileen".
She should have done this in an internal message readable only by the staff.
The same forum was (and is) full of copyrighted material, but the problem was perhaps that she was the Global Moderator for Yamaha, and could not stand that I took the liberty of posting files in "her" area.
She did not post files at all due to hysterical fear of copyright, but never said anything when the admin did this.
She clearly has not read the copyright law, which allows for sharing in a closed environment that requires membership.
The owner can still demand that files be removed (and not shared further), which is unproblematic if done immediately.
Very few people have ever read the entire copyright law, but I have.
Eileen has leading roles in most forums, which she shouldn't have, because music is largely meant to be free for everyone (in a closed environment).

I did not know that about copyright. I'm not one who ever felt a need to delve into the actual facts, I tend to just go by common sense.
But there certainly are forums where it's all 'we'll have no copyright stuff here, we don't do that', yet they will have an area where such is available and they'll pick and choose who gets access.
But, I also have had hobbies of sewing, knitting/crochet and in each of these the number of posts about copyright would drown you. Even if there are copyright lawyers there telling the facts, people will ignore it and still accuse others and threaten over something done or made. It's like an epidemic, one does it and the rest blindly follow, and it can get very heated and ugly! I call them copyright police LOL
One thing that is peculiar though is while most of the world allows copying an item (not the physical pattern) - except France. Now, that is very hard to define in this international internet world!

In fact, the administration of copyright law is to some extent based on common sense, as it allows a certain use within closed areas.
The moment a file is distributed outside this area (or can be..!) the law is strictly enforced, which everyone has to deal with.
In addition to having read the law in its entirety, I contacted a lawyer in Norway who specialized in copyright, and it is his practical interpretation of the law that forms the basis of my position on it.
In any case, it is important to respect the law and accept that it is always the owner who is protected, and if you receive a request for files to be removed, this must be followed up immediately.
I have been running this forum for 9 years, and have only received a single such request for removal of files, which I did right away, and the matter was resolved.
It seems that forum administrators are generally unaware that it is their hosting provider who is responsible for removing copyrighted files, which often is an automated process.
If an administrator continues to allow copyrighted material, he will be notified by the hosting provider to stop this, otherwise his forum will be closed and shut down.
I had previously planned to have my own server, but then I am the hosting provider and have full responsibility personally.
It is also important to know that the law is not exactly the same in all countries, which means that I have to deal with the legal practice in the UK, where my hosting provider operates from.

I was updating a cvp809 and came across a USB that clearly was supplied by Eileen with various files and styles that were clearly copyrighted also she was supplying various PPI files that were paid content. So she was selective with interpretation of what can be shared or not.
Leigh W sells a £80 string set that actually comes from a Tyros 3, also Theatre organ sounds and registrations that were created by TRX anybody who pays for his material is getting scammed.
In reality if Yamaha come after you is because your stepping on their toes, but the people who point the finger are usually from the above for mentioned
double standards.

Her real reason for slandering me can be explained by the fact that I did my job as Global Moderator better than she ever did or will do.

The copyright only applies in the country that the copyright was made in. Every country requires a new copyright and as you pointed out with the Styleworks copyright bug it may not actually be copyright it could just be a bug or junk code doing it.

I prefer to keep making new stuff instead of copyrighting making the old sounds and styles obsolete

That's clearly the best.
Not many people do it like that today.
I remember a case well with my brother, who trained as a WebMaster.
At school he was criticized for creating everything from scratch, because this took too long.
The students were required to use existing scripts and build on them in order to work as efficiently as possible.
In one case, it turned out that the entire class had used scripts with serious flaws so that the result did not work satisfactorily, while my brother's worked optimally - because he had created all the scripts from scratch.
Music is also like that; it is always best to create things from scratch.
Many of the styles and sounds that are available internally on the Pa5X were created a long time ago, and processed countless times afterwards.
It is probably the case that all models contain sounds and styles that were originally created several decades ago, and there is rarely anything REAL new.

In the last week and half https://performersheaven.com/en/shop-en/by-author-en/ari-en went from around 700 sounds to 1106 and I'm adding over 500 more shortly along with over 100 kits (average 1.5mb each)
