9000 PRO RECEIVED - Chello - 11-15-2024

9000 PRO RECEIVED

Now I have picked up my 9000 Pro.
Fortunately, it was undamaged.

It's very dirty - I have quite a job cleaning it.
We'll see how it looks and if everything works.

RE: 9000 PRO RECEIVED - Chello - 11-15-2024

Everything seems to work as it should, except for the contrast button.
Precisely the contrast button is necessary, because the screen has a very limited viewing angle, but unlike the PSR-3000; in a stand above another keyboard, the angle becomes ideal.

Primitive screen, but it works well enough.

Almost everything is placed differently than I'm used to, and it took a while to find everything.
The sound is generally somewhat sharp, but this may be due to existing settings, which I have not touched.

All buttons work very well and are extremely easy to operate.
The keybed is absolutely fantastic; just like OASYS.

The top plate is made of steel, and this is slightly rusted around some buttons 22 , but otherwise the keyboard is quite nice with no damage to the panel itself.

A button has broken the rubber cap, but I will try to make a new rubber cap.

I am very satisfied so far.

RE: 9000 PRO RECEIVED - Chello - 11-15-2024

SURPRISE

The sound is more open with the 9000 Pro than the Pa5X or Audya.
It is also experienced as more dynamic, and especially the voices of the right hand.
A bit sharp sound, but I haven't adjusted anything yet.

I had a very strange experience when testing the pads - I pressed them several times, also two and two at the same time, and suddenly it revealed a combination of what I had pressed..?

The layout is a chaos that requires getting used to, and the number of styles is very limited, but there is room for many more in Flash memory.

Then it happened:
C#6 cracked !!!
I thought I heard a faint noise for a while at first, until the C next to it wouldn't let itself be pressed down.

Damn.
Maybe I can repair it with super glue, but I have to disassemble the keyboard.

This is a damn good keyboard.

Well worth repairing.  22

I have looked a little closer at the key that cracked.

When I push it back and push it down, it stays in place as it should and can be played gently, but a little more force and it slides forward and out of position.

This suggests that it is broken at the front by the screw attachment, which is also the only weak point on the black keys.
This should be able to be glued.

RE: 9000 PRO RECEIVED - Graham UK - 11-16-2024

Chello. After my 9000Pro, the board I wanted but did not manage to obtain was Yamaha Electone HX1 Twin Manual.

New they cost about £10,000.
They can now be obtained in the UK for £200.
I would have used it as a master board to drive another of choice because of its excellent again quality two manual keys.

Worth a search Yamaha Electone HX1 or HX2 or HX3 !!!

@Graham

Thanks for the tip.
I am familiar with the Electone HX series - many have said a lot of good things about it.
If I could choose between Wersi and Electone, I would very likely choose the latter.

I am extremely happy with the 9000 Pro - for the first time I can play on an arranger like I do on the OASYS, because it uses the same keybed, which is the best of all I know of.
