Time for a clearout - musicalmemoriesuk - 10-28-2024 So today Ive decided to have a clearout on my Pa700 and did a factory reset. I am now as we speak reloading the sample that I use. Then to reorganise my keyboard sets and styles. RE: Time for a clearout - musicalmemoriesuk - 10-28-2024 So I added the samples and now going through some styles that I had on my Pa50sd. RE: Time for a clearout - musicalmemoriesuk - 10-28-2024 It’s sometimes good to go through legacy style no matter what make of arranger you own, whilst they may need some tweaking you might find lots of styles that don’t even exist on newer models. The best styles are the older ones, and this has a simple explanation: Time is money. Before, they had better time, because time was cheaper. Today, time is the biggest cost, which means that those who create styles use all kinds of software and effects that solve all problems efficiently, but poorly, in my opinion. So the old styles are best. RE: Time for a clearout - musicalmemoriesuk - 10-30-2024 Having installed the preset styles from the Pa80 on my Pa700 I realised how good the pa80 styles are. Yes they have been modified and renamed as the Pa range evolved but considering the pa80 was released back in 1988 it shows how good an usable the styles actually are. The Pa80 is famous for its quality and I had its successor, the Pa800. The Pa800 is, in my opinion, the best mixed model ever, with presets for microphones that made using a microphone a wonderful experience - choose your mic, and everything worked out. Plug & Play as it should be. And the styles were absolutely excellently mixed. The sound was also best on the Pa800. Pa80 is said to have had the same qualities. |
