Dont forget todays Keyboard World Webinar - musicalmemoriesuk - 08-16-2024

RE: Dont forget todays Keyboard World Webinar - musicalmemoriesuk - 08-16-2024

Just watched the webinar very good it was once again.

Something I did learn which is hopefully applicable to the Tyros 4 that with the global chorus effect doesn’t have to be a chorus effect.

Previously when testing my dual reverb I used the global reverb and an insert effect for the second reverb.

Whilst Paul mentions it’s not great to use one reverb on top of enough is not great it actually does work when creating an ambience.

Agree - another good webinar.
Paul is good at explaining things.
Ambience is the key word - all (acoustic) sounds have their (genuine) ambience, while electric ones also all have their (artificial) ambience.

An important thing I have found out is that the sounds without effects are still like this:
Drums are almost completely dry, while perc can have a certain amount of ambience, and other sounds have a very varying degree of ambience - without any effects added.

This means that we have to add genuine ambience for drums and maybe a bit to perc, while other sounds can be chosen carefully based on their amount of ambience to match the drums.
