THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENOS AND PA5X - Chello - 04-11-2024 THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENOS AND PA5X Many people say a lot about one being better than the other, but no one has mentioned the most important thing: Both Genos1 and Genos2 styles are based on only 4 bars in all Mains. Pa5X mostly has 8 bars in all Variations, sometimes more. It is widely agreed that many bars in a style make it better, because it becomes less repetitive and has greater variety. Yamaha's style structure is thus technically inferior to Korg's. RE: THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENOS AND PA5X - Chello - 04-12-2024 Feel free to try this: Play the style Wing Slow Rock (or equivalent) on the Genos and compare to playing it on the Pa5X. This style has 19 bars in all Variations and 2 bars in Fills/Break. It CAN of course play on a Genos with 19 bars in all Mains, but Fills/Break will only be 1 bar. RE: THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENOS AND PA5X - Chello - 04-12-2024 Pa5X's styles are far more complex than Genos's, which I intend to document with my overview that I am working on now. |
