Going Backwards - musicalmemoriesuk - 12-21-2023 So today I thought it would be a good idea to go right back to styles from the Pa80 and to see how they will sound remixed and ambient drums added. RE: Going Backwards - musicalmemoriesuk - 12-22-2023 So whilst remixing one of the styles and adding the ambient drums, I though to myself how good the Pa80 styles actually sounded. RE: Going Backwards - Chello - 12-23-2023 What you are doing here certainly has something to it, because many older styles have better patterns than newer ones. This especially applies to genres such as Beat, Ballad, Country, Rock, Latin, Jazz etc. The only thing necessary is to find substitute sounds from Factory, correct levels and add effects. Many of these styles will then be actually better than the internal ones, precisely because they have better patterns. RE: Going Backwards - musicalmemoriesuk - 12-23-2023 It’s not such a hard task to remix, and change the voices like anything you just have to be creative as with any style muting tracks and changing the voices you could get many variations of the same style. Might be time to search hard drives for other styles from older Korg Models, if anyone is up for a challenge. Don’t forget a lot of older styles get left behind when newer models come out so you may be missing out. |
