IMPROVISATION AND ITS GENIUS

For many years I struggled to find my own way of improvising.
I was familiar with the theory, but still couldn't see the image I had to create.
I knew that this was the art or act of composing, uttering, executing, or arranging anything without previous preparation.
But which pattern should I choose ?

All the world's most famous musicians have their own pattern, or tone choice and chord structure, some simple, and others more complex.

One musician in particular caught my attention because he used only 3-note chords that were composed so that they collided with each other - they made a siren-like chord that fit into any arrangement.
This musician was Art Van Damme, the world's highest paid soloist, and he was an accordion player.
No one to date has copied what he did.
Neither do I, because this was not as simple as one might think.

I've also always had a particular fondness for Jon Lord's (Deep Purple) way of doing this, and found to my great surprise that I actually did a lot the same way.
I discovered this once I played continuously for several hours and recorded, playing "Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zeppelin.

Jon Lord's choice of tone matches my own very well, and I have since always used this pattern.
My improvisation is my fingerprint, and identifies me.

Many thanks for your WOW.

I had a bright moment.
Sometimes you can outdo yourself, and this most often happens when you record and forget that this is going on.
