Yamaha SX-720:
Turn the power on while holding down the lowest key on the keyboard. A message appears briefly and the Auto Power Off function is disabled.
This should be possible, but many have reported that the feature does not work.
This trick should also work for other models that have Auto Power Off.

I hadn't heard of this before. In my SETUP registration I have it set to the longest time option given, which is usually OK for me, but I will try this today and see if it works on my 720.
The only machine I appreciate having an auto power off function is our iron, that really is a practical feature.

Update - I turned on the keyboard while holding the lowest note and I got the message Auto Power Off disabled. In Utility, Auto Power Off is marked Disabled, with a note stating energy consumption might increase.

It's not so strange if you haven't heard of this, because I couldn't find anything about it in the manual, but in a Yamaha blog.
Funny that you mention the iron, because this is probably the origin of the invention of "power saving"; but the iron had this for safety reasons.
The fact that my tip seems to work may indicate that there was a previous bug that was later fixed.
Your SX-720 will have a much longer life with the function disabled.
