Chello. I have found in life to be always polite and thank people for their help which for me has returned many benefits.

Any business dealing with people is called the service side of any company do get a lot of abuse.
I have known our Doctors Reception to be in tears.

Many years ago I had problems with a company car, the Service Manager could not understand why I was not shouting & complaining.
I simply ask the service manager and stated I would very much appreciate his help.
He went out of his way to get the problem sorted and I was mobile by the end if that day.

You have a good point there and there is no doubt that politeness and gratitude solves most problems before they arise.

I can also be like that, but at the same time I am a person who cannot stand being messed with, and prefer to make short work of people who do not deserve my respect.

When someone treats me disrespectfully without any reason for this, they must expect to be prosecuted as they deserve.

I am known to be strict, but also fair.

Chello. My wife happened see me reading your reply, she said you and I are both very similar.
Dot the I's & Cross the T's.
I don't like IN-TRAYs, what comes IN is dealt with ASAP.

If everyone completed the job they were paid to do the world would be a better place.

Your wife has a very keen sense of observation.

We are very similar, and have both had jobs that make certain demands on how we handle controversy.

I worked for 10 years as Norway's adviser for the country's immigrants, and this taught me to handle conflicts as a result of people's different backgrounds and experiences; they could react very differently to the same situation.

Oddly enough (and wrongly enough) many people have believed that my conflicts with other forums were rooted in my own lack of knowledge of Norwegian in relation to English, but they are wrong there, because it was precisely this understanding that led me to be chosen as an adviser for the country's immigrants years later years, which requires an ability to see all sides of a conflict and to deal with it consistently if necessary.

I thus have one of the best platforms as a basis for running a forum where the members have a multicultural background.

Your professional background has given you the same insight, and I would have had no qualms about giving you administrative responsibility in the forum.

If we all do the job we are set to do properly, controversies will be avoided before they arise.

dot the i's and cross the t's
is a very precise description - this is the world's best work routine for everyone, regardless of field.

Hi Kjell,
I think there's more to it. My default browser is Google and that doesn't work.
I had already tried via Microsoft Edge and I got the same message.
