Another Day on Pa5x
#1
So today involved transferring more of the midi files here to the Pa5x.

I also organised some of the keyboard sets and styles that Ive transferred.

Whilst doing so I tried some of the keyboard sets that I had created on my Pa700,
I can happily say after the conversion process they sounded surprisingly good.

Up to now I never actually know how well or good they would sound on the then Pa4x and now Pa5x.

Lots of Facebook groups and forums are full of negativity regarding the Pa5x, whilst I get that there are bugs, but let’s turn everything on its side and look as the positives and potential.

You are getting and outstanding instrument with so much to give and im only just touching the surface with what is possible.

What if the Pa5x was actually the last arranger that Korg Made in physical form that is, what if they was to go down the Ketron route, and create a module or in software form?
General Music WK4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Tyros 4, Korg Pa50sd and Korg Pa700, Korg Pa5x Paas Mk2 Speaker and Yamaha Genos

I enjoy reading about your adventures with the PA4x (and the Genos too). I find it really interesting. I doubt I'd ever be in the market for either, I just like hearing thoughts, real opinions. Of course there will be good and bad, and for each person that might be different, but both are lovely machines. It's best to appreciate the good from them, and learn more and more how to use that.

One other thing I did learn today is when loading individual banks of keyboard sets / styles is that prior to loading them you get the option, unlike loading a full ksc in which the banks get named user / bank etc.

Im not sure if there is a global file which retains the bank names as with then pa700

As the weeks / days pass and the initial excitement diminishes things start to click into place what you have learned on previous models.

Im feeling brave flying solo with the Pa5x for a booking tomorrow last time I had both but was primarily using the Genos.

One thing with two tier stands that a fixed height the space between both keyboards is a bit too much.

If you asked me if I would have a Genos and Pa5x 12 months ago i would have dreamed of.
