PA700 ALSO HAS DRUM KITS EDITOR

I just saw that the Pa700 has a feature I didn't know about - I've only seen this on the Pa5X.
I'm talking about the Drum Kits Editor, which is described from page 172 of its User Manual.

This is perhaps the most powerful tool of all, bringing new life to your Drum Kits far more effectively than traditional EQ is capable of.

I will investigate further. Then more work on eq’ing the drum kits.

You should consider this the tip of the decade, because I have discovered that if you edit Drum Kits with the associated Editor, you almost never have to think about anything else, because "everything fits".

The Pa5X works optimally with this, and only a small boost in bass is sometimes needed in addition.
NO OTHER EQ IS NECESSARY.

I've found that traditional EQ can almost always be omitted or greatly minimized if this is used instead.

You mentioned small boost in bass, are you referring a boost in the kick drum ? Is this in the low mid or high ?

Yes, I meant a boost in kick drums Low, but a gentle boost of BASS Low in Sound Edit can also do wonders.

Apart from this, I add a few dB in the drums in the Drum Family that are active in the set, and always use Mid Gain, because Mid uses a bell-curve based filter that touches almost the entire frequency range and is most effective.

Let your ears decide what is the right level.
